Founder’s Note

My name is Hayaat, and I am the founder of the Muslimah Professional Network (MPN).

The idea to create MPN came to me following an experience at work with bullying, exclusion and being sidelined by a group of people. The experience made me understand how difficult it can be to feel adequately supported and safeguarded in the workplace environment, especially as a Muslim woman.

In sharing my story with fellow Muslim women, I realised that I was not alone in facing difficulties and many others were in the process of navigating situations more complex than mine. As I could not find organisations whose work focused solely on guiding and supporting Muslim women in their professional journeys, I decided to become the change that I wanted to see.

MPN seeks to offer a space in which the professional growth and overall wellbeing of Muslim women is at the core of its work. We hope to create a sense of community and become a safe space for sisters who need a listening ear and a solid resource for those who need guidance and specific advice..

My hope is that every Muslim woman who visits this platform feels understood, supported, and empowered in her career.

Thank you for being here.

Hayaat
